} love unrequited {


I stand at the edge of a pond
I see the reflection of the sky
a boat; two heart shaped swans
holding a lovely couple inside

I look down and kick a rock
breathe in then let out a sigh
slowly I begin to walk
and gaze up at the sky

I was wondering if we,
as strange as it may seem,
if you and I might be
if you would be my queen

I step into a love boat
there is room for two
all alone on this float
I look around for you

there you are and I call to you
after you have been sighted
you ignore me as you always do
I am crushed by love unrequited

what was I thinking?
how could I not see?
my love boat is sinking
there is no love for me
